The Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, avoided talking about the new change of command of Petrobras, this Tuesday, 24, in the corridors of the World Economic Forum, in Davos. In the private meetings he has held, the minister stated that he has not been asked about the oil company. “President Jair Bolsonaro chooses minister Adolfo Sachsida, the minister chooses the president of Petrobras,” he said in a conversation with journalists.
The oil company’s Council ratifies the name of the chosen minister and the director of the state-owned company, added Guedes. “And they set the fuel price policy.”
José Mauro Ferreira Coelho was the third president of the state-owned company in the Bolsonaro government, staying only 40 days in office. The new name is Caio Mário Paes de Andrade, close to Guedes.
Guedes has a full agenda this Tuesday, with nine bilateral meetings, apart from lunch and dinner, in addition to an informal meeting with Forum participants in the morning.
There is a list of several names in the queue for a conversation with a minister, who did not find space on the agenda.
