Traders Club buys part of Galícia Educação

O TradersClub (TRAD3) announced to the market this Wednesday, 20th, the acquisition of part of Galicia Education, a management school.

The investment was in the amount of BRL 2 million with the possibility of increasing it to BRL 2.5 million after the conclusion of the final documents, which is scheduled for until August 31, 2022.

About Galicia Education

THE Galicia Education was founded in 2020 by a group of market executives and has a strong presence in distance learning.

It is an institution operating in three main areas: management, coaching and learning in the metaverse and virtual reality.

According to the material fact disclosed by the TradersClub, the investment strategy is to strengthen its educational area, bringing greater diversity of content and exploring new forms of teaching, such as professional courses, certifications, graduations and MBAs.

THE TC states that the partnership will bring growth to its customer base, as well as a greater variety of content available to that same base.

Part of the existing content and what will still be created by the partnership between the companies will be available both on the TC as in Galicia Educação.

TradersClub (TRAD3) results in the first quarter

In the first three months of the year, the company recorded net revenue of R$ 25.4 million, a growth of 75.9% when compared to the year on year.

There was a net loss of BRL 9.4 million, a variation of around 6,000% compared to the same period in 2021.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Adjusted EBITDA) of the TC also suffered a retraction in the first quarter of the year, marking a negative EBITDA of R$ 11.9 million, with a margin of -46.8%.
