Software permits MEI to difficulty bill for digital companies on cellphone; meet
The NFS-e app is now available for iOS and Android devices. Know the availability schedule:
On December 1st, the Special Secretariat of Federal Revenue of the Ministry of Economy launched the application of the Electronic Invoice for Services, the NFS-e🇧🇷 Available on iOS and Android platforms, the application especially facilitates the daily lives of individual microentrepreneurs (MEI), which become issue electronic notes on the cell phone.
The free application also allows the consultation of documents already released and the checking of any records not yet transmitted.
The customer, in turn, receives notification about the issuance of the invoice by means of an electronic message, also by cell phone.
How it works
When it comes time to issue a new note, it asks for little information:
- CPF or CNPJ of the client;
- Type of service provided;
- Operation value;
Protected by a password or biometrics, if available on the cell phone, the system allows the issuance of NFS-e even when there is no internet access. It also informs the situation of absence of data connection and requests that the invoices generated be sent to the municipality when the connection is reestablished.
Initially, only MEI residing in municipalities that have already joined the National System of NFs-e will have access to the digital service. As of January 1st, the electronic invoice for services will be available to all MEIs in Brazil, regardless of membership or not. It is estimated that 119 cities have already joined, 16 of which are capital cities, which represents close to 58% of the country’s ISS collection. According to the tax auditor of the Federal Revenue, Gustavo Jube, project coordinator, from April 3, 2023, the issuance of the electronic service invoice will be mandatory in cases where the MEI has the duty to issue the document, or that is, for sales to legal entities.
“Today the MEI does not issue in a standardized way, so each municipality has an issuer and there are still many cities that do not have it and the entrepreneur has to buy. So this app is a kick to change the reality of MEI. We know the difficulties they face and that impact the conduct of their business”, he says.
