Services sector rose 0.2% in April, according to IBGE

In comparison with April of the previous year, there was an increase of 9.4%

The volume of services provided rose 0.2% in April compared to Marchin the seasonally adjusted series, according to data from the Monthly Services Survey, reported this Tuesday, 14, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). In the previous month, the indicator result was revised from 1.7% to 1.4%.

O April’s result was below the median of estimatesof 0.4%, from analysts heard by Projections Broadcast, who predicted from a fall of 0.3% to a high of 2.4%.

In comparison with April of the previous year, there was an increase of 9.4% in April 2022, already discounting the effect of inflation. In this comparison, forecasts were for an increase from 3.6% to 13.2%, with a positive median of 10.6%.

The rate accumulated in the year – which is based on the same period of the previous year – increased by 9.5%. In 12 months, services accumulate a high of 12.8%.

Nominal gross revenue from the service sector rose 0.9% in April compared to March. In comparison with April 2021, there was an increase of 16 5% in nominal revenue.
