Sebrae-SP and Troposlab launch acceleration program for female-led fintechs

WFintech program has open enrollment from August 30th to September 25th. Chosen companies will receive mentorships to expand operations

Sebrae-SP, through Sebrae for Startups, joined the Troposlab consultancy to launch the acceleration program WFintech. The program will select 20 fintechs led by cis or trans women to offer mentorship and services. Applications are open from August 30th to September 25th.

The selected fintechs will have access to a series of benefits, such as: connection with relevant entrepreneurs for the sector, development mentorships to accelerate business and sales, preparation of a business plan, collective and individual training, support with exclusive methodologies, access to Delta FintechLab physical hub and a package of advantages with discounted access to platforms such as Hubspot, AWS and Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub.

“The WFintech program brings together two strategic fronts for Sebrae-SP, which are the focus on developing innovative companies and encouraging female entrepreneurship. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to accelerate their startup and also be part of a community of entrepreneurs and business partners”, says the superintendent director of Sebrae-SP, Marco Vinholi, in a note.

According to the director of acceleration at Troposlab, Pedro Teixeira, female entrepreneurs will be able to explore the full potential of companies within the sector. “Starting a fintech is not easy. Therefore, the idea of this type of activity is to diagnose the startup moment and prepare a development plan that helps them achieve their goals”, he says in a note.

To register, through the WFintech website, you must have a CNPJ registered in the state of São Paulo. The fintech must have at least one cis or trans woman in its corporate structure, be in the ideation or operation stage with an already validated MVP and have the desire to accelerate or scale its sales.

WFintech also has a group of sponsors, who are specialists and entrepreneurs in the finance segment: Ingrid Barth (Linker), Ariane Pelicioli (iUPay and Boletão), Andrezza Rodrigues (HerMoney), Carolina Cavenaghi (Fin4She), Ana Paula Pisaneschi ( Uffa), Michela Galvão (Various Cryptos) and Ana Zucato (Noh). In addition, Fernanda Ribeiro (Conta Black) will be a speaker at the launch of the project.

According to the innovation consultant at Sebrae-SP and leader of Delta FintechLab, Martha Lopes, the sponsors of the project have experiences that will support and inspire the participants of the program. “By sharing their real-life experiences and learning, WFintech godmothers will contribute to the creation of a community,” she says in a note.
