What does that mean?

The proposal, according to Sebrae, is to replicate the program’s gains and teachings to the entire startups associated with Sebrae nationally.
The program aims to connect startups to investment funds and angel investors. In addition, it will map innovation ecosystems across the country and bring together founders interested in intellectual capital to universities in the region.
“This hub starts here, but it will travel all over the country”, says Luc Pinheiro, technical director of Sebrae Santa Catarina. “There is innovation and maturity here.”
What’s New for Entrepreneurs
In the wake of the launch of the regional program of innovationSebrae also announced the formatting of a global initiative dedicated to entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized companies.
The association, the only one in Brazil authorized by the United Nations (UN) to bring its traditional program to promote entrepreneurship, Empretec Startups, to Brazil also received authorization to restructure it.
Now, the Brazilian version of Empretec will have a new format and content adapted by Sebrae — according to the association, to accommodate the new moment in the universe of startups in Brazil.
Empretec works as a 50-hour training program, now with content adapted to the new moment of entrepreneurship in Brazil, which helps startups to validate their ideas.
At the end of the immersion, the founders can be evaluated by real investors in seminars. The first one takes place from September 5th to 9th, in the city of São Paulo.
