Raia Drogasil makes official the acquisition of expertise startup Eloopz
Raia Drogasil (RD) informs that its subsidiary RD Ads has signed a contract for the acquisition of 100% of eLoops, a technology startup. The value was not reported. The information is from Estadão Broadcast.
According to the company, the investment in eLoopz is part of RD Ventures, RD’s Corporate Venture Capital platform, and seeks to accelerate the strategy of digitalization of retail and expansion of the media business. Completion of the deal is scheduled for the next few weeks.
eLoops develops media solutions for retailers through the implementation and maintenance of hardware, mostly screens installed in physical stores, and software for intelligent management of these assets. Founded in 2017, and having RD as a client since then, eLoopz has consolidated itself as a platform that helps large retail brands maximize the customer experience at the point of sale and create new revenue lines through the sale of advertisements.
“The acquisition of eLoopz will allow RD to develop new advertising and advertising solutions to impact our 45 million active customers, intensifying out-of-home digital media operations in our pharmacies, in order to strengthen the advertising strategy of advertisers in the physical and digital channels via RD Ads”, says the company in a statement sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).
RD Ads is the advertising arm of RD, also founded in 2017 with the aim of connecting brands with their customers through the integration of different media channels, physical and digital, and sophisticated measurement. Following the model of the investments previously made, the founding partners will remain in the operation together with the other employees who are part of this structure, especially integrated with RD Ads.
