The proposal, which was accepted by 70% of the more than 5,800 employees, provides for a 6.97% readjustment in fixed and variable salaries
The National Union of Aeronauts (SNA) announced this Sunday, the 25th, that it accepted the third proposal deliberated by the pilots and stewards of the country. Thus, the strike that lasted five days at the main airports in Brazil ended.
The proposal, which was accepted by 70% of the more than 5,800 employees, provides for a 6.97% readjustment in fixed and variable wageswhich will also apply to national rates (R$ 94.96), and food vouchers (R$ 495.50), minimum wage, insurance, fine for non-compliance with the convention, announced the union.
The proposal also provides for the definition of the start time for days off and compensation for non-compliance by companies, and the possibility of starting holidays on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as well as the full renewal of the other social clauses.
“It was a victory. We managed to carry out a renovation, bring improvements in the financial and social parts, something that has not been seen for a while”, said the president of the SNA, Henry Hacklaender🇧🇷
But, according to him, there is still much to be done. “ We have to reduce the number of reports and complaints through improvements.”
The strike was paralyzed on Friday, the 23rd, for deliberation on the proposal. Since Monday, the 19th, crew members have been sitting idly by for two hours a day, always from 6 am to 8 am, to demand a real increase in wages and better rest conditions.
