Mundo Pixar: what to expect from the immersive exhibition at the Eldorado mall?

With ten environments, each one related to a Pixar movie, visitors will be able to interact with scenes and characters from the films.

Feel like the toys in Andy’s room, like in the movie Toy Storyor like the monsters while working at the factory in the movie Monsters Inc. For lovers of Pixar productions, it will open tomorrow (20th) at Eldorado mall in São Paulo, the largest exhibition ever made on the universe of films by the American studio, the Pixar world.

With ten environments, each one related to a Pixar movie, visitors will be able to interact with scenes and characters from the films, either through augmented reality, by scanning QR codes available in each room or with the characters’ own reproductions.

Entrance is through the home of Carl Fredricksen, the grumpy old man from the Oscar-nominated film. Up, High Adventures. Outside the house, the reproduction of the instagrammable facade has augmented reality activations. Inside, in the living room, the character awaits visitors for photos in the armchairs.

Interactivity, however, is restricted to some environments. In the next room, dedicated to the scream factory, Monsters Incthere are the working materials of the movie freaks, such as the children’s bedroom doors and screaming tanks, which literally emit screams when activated by a button.

It’s still possible to feel like Andy’s toys from the movie Toy Story, and pose with the most famous movie dolls, Woody and Buzz Lightyear. There is even a space dedicated to the second character, who has just won a movie of his own.

The 2,800-square-meter exhibition also has spaces dedicated to films. Looking for Nemo, cars, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, soul and Inside Outwith Riley’s Brain Control Room, Emotion Control Panel, and Joy and Sadness characters.

In addition, information and trivia about the films are available before entering the rooms.

“The selection of films was a perfect combination between some more classic films such as Toy Story and more recent ones like soulbut always thinking about the films that have a lot of adherence with the public and that responded well both at the box office of the cinemas, as well as the results on Disney+”, comments Mariana Marcondes, senior manager and integrated marketing at The Walt Disney Company Brazil.

The biggest exhibition about the American studio is also the first in the world. “This event has not yet been carried out in other countries, because it was a 100% Brazilian idea, to show that there is a Disney office in Brazil, responsible for providing almost all experiences and points of contact with our consumer. We felt a demand and a great appeal from the Pixar brand, already consolidated in the work that is done in theaters, but we felt the need to offer an experience for our consumer, and that is why this project was developed by the Disney team in Brazil”, comments Marcondes.

In a space of 240 square meters promoted by Free market, it will be possible to purchase Disney and Pixar licensed products at the end of the visit. The Mercado Livre store has items such as the famous Pixar ball, t-shirts with exclusive prints, toys, fashion and decoration items from the films present at the show.

Where to buy Pixar World tickets?

Tickets are available on the Eventim website and as of July 20, they can be purchased at the venue’s box office.

From Tuesday to Thursday from 10 am to 8.50 pm and on Fridays, Saturdays, Sunday and holidays from 10 am to 10.50 pm.
