The virtual body can be used on Instagram and shared on Facebook and Messenger
What would you be like in the metaverse? It is already possible to discover this with a novelty presented by Goalthe parent company of Facebook.
This Monday, 23rd, the company launched in Brazil the 3D avatarsa new way for users to create virtual representations of themselves on the social network.
The feature, which launched in January in North America, also arrives today in Argentina, Colombia and Puerto Rico.
In the coming weeks, it will also be possible to create the 3D avatar on Instagram and share it on Facebook and Messenger.
The doll will have customization of hair styles, skin tones and clothing of the character, in addition to features such as mobility equipment.
Meta also announced that in the coming months, Horizon Worlds, its platform for creating spaces in the metaverse – and still only available in the United States – will be accessible via computer, tablet or cell phone.
The idea is to allow access even for those who do not have a virtual reality device.
How to create a Meta avatar
On the Facebook app: enter the Main Menu, look for “Avatars” under “All Shortcuts”. Customize your Avatar and change skin tone, eye color, add accessories, etc. Once you’ve created it, you can share it as a profile picture, in a post, in Stories, etc.
On Messenger: when you edit your Avatar on Facebook, it is automatically updated in Messenger.
On Instagram: if Facebook and Instagram accounts are linked, Avatar will be updated automatically. To sync them, go to Instagram main menu, select “Settings”, choose “Account Center”, click on your name, click on “Avatar” and sync your accounts. You can tap the icon with a profile doll in the lower right corner of your phone screen to access your profile, tap “Edit” at the top and then tap “Create Avatar” or “Edit Avatar”.
From there, customize with hairstyles, clothes, accessories and more. Tap “Finish” to save the Avatar.
And if you’ve set up Account Center and chosen to sync your Avatar, any changes you make to your Avatar on Instagram will also automatically appear on Facebook and Messenger and vice versa.
