M. Dias buys an organization in Uruguay, within the 1st acquisition outdoors Brazil

This is the first of other acquisitions that may still take place outside Brazil, said a company executive

In a step towards internationalization, M. Dias Branco acquired today (31) the pasta company Las Acacias, in Uruguay, the first of other acquisitions that may still happen outside Brazil, an executive at the company told Reuters.

Without revealing the value of the operation, the director of Investor Relations and New Business at M. Dias Branco, Fábio Cefaly, stated that the Uruguayan company was chosen for being one of the three main brands in the sector in that country, with more than R$ 100 million in annual revenue and an Ebitda margin of 14%.

“A ’round’ company, in a sector that we already knew how to operate… was the best option for M. Dias to start its growth abroad”, he said.
