Consumers from the ABC classes took products such as prime meat (72%), mozzarella (54%), yogurt (44%), milk (37%) and even soy oil (18%) from their carts.

Seven out of ten Brazilians from the ABC classes have eliminated an item from the market’s shopping list in the last six months because of high prices, according to an Ipec survey commissioned by C6 Bank (72% of respondents).
The rise in prices made consumers remove products such as prime meat (72%), mozzarella (54%), yogurt (44%), milk (37%) and second-rate meat (28%). Inflation was the reason given by 82% of respondents for the reduction in consumption.
In addition, 26% of respondents stopped taking home processed meats such as sausage and sausage, 18% abandoned soy oil and 15% no longer put pork, chicken or fish in their carts.
The survey interviewed 2,000 people over the age of 16 with internet access, in all regions of the country, between July 14th and 20th. The margin of error is two percentage points.
