Music business woman, Eliane Dias now wants to pursue a career in fashion
For almost 10 years in show business, Eliane Dias is the producer’s CEO boogie suitwhich is at the forefront of career management of Racionais MC’s, the biggest rap group in the country, and Mano Brown, her husband. To succeed in her career, she says, women need to be a little selfish. “You have to put yourself first to say ‘now I’m going to stop’, whether to study, go to the gym, take care of your health, think or rest”, she said yesterday (29) on the stage of the RME Forum, by Rede Mulher Empreendedora. , which takes place this week in São Paulo.
The businesswoman grew up on the outskirts of São Paulo and from the age of 14 became responsible for funding her studies and projects. Dias was a maid and nanny, graduated in law and, in 2013, founded Boogie Naipe. In 2017, she was recognized as Music Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Musical Event Award. “I started to undertake out of necessity, but today it is a choice I make.”
Now she wants to take her next steps in fashion. In 2020, she founded the streetwear brand Yebo, alongside her daughter, Domenica Dias. Entrepreneurship, according to Dias, gives her the opportunity to take care of her own career, setting her own hours, creating her own goals and working for herself.
What gets her out of bed at the first ring of the alarm clock is a very well laid out life and career plan. “I have plans for the future, I know what I want to do, and this is what moves me: the places I want to go.”
His main career tips are to find a dream and aim for it as if it were the conquest of a love. “We have to take care of our career and our life with the same effort that we put in to conquer the loved one.”
