Gazin makes first acquisition in its historical past

The retail group Gazin, from Douradina (PR), announced its first acquisition in history. The company from Paraná closed the acquisition of the Radisco Magazine chain, headquartered in Capanema (PA) and with 16 stores in the state and a distribution center. The company does not disclose the value of the transaction. The information is from the electronic edition of the newspaper Valor Econômico this Tuesday (16). According to the report, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) has already approved the transaction on August 3.

According to the article signed by journalist Adriana Mattos, Gazin expands its operations in Pará, where the chain has been operating since 2011, with 28 units, increasing its point base in the state by about 50% — in addition to the stores, Gazin has two distribution centers in Pará. In Brazil, the group from Paraná closed 2021 with 305 units and net sales of R$ 5.7 billion, a slight increase of 3%. Net income reached BRL 544 million, an increase of 20% in 2021 compared to 2020.

Gazin is the 34th largest company in the region and also the 13th largest in Paraná, according to the 500 BIGGEST IN THE SOUTH ranking, published by Grupo AMANHÃ with technical support from PwC.
