
Gasoline rises in May and reaches R$ 7.55; ethanol reaches R$ 6.15

Fuels face a scenario of oscillation in Brazilian states in the first days of the month, according to research
the price of liter of gasoline at gas stations rose 0.70% and is being sold at BRL 7.55 in the first days of May. This is what the Price Index of Ticket Log.
THE ethanol had an increase of 3.69% compared to April 2022 and reached BRL 6.15.
“If we compare the current value with the closing of 2021, we are already paying 9.5% more for gasoline in 2022 and 6.5% more for the liter of ethanol”, comments Douglas Pina, general director of the fleet and mobility division at Edenred Brasil.
Where is gasoline most expensive?
The research claims that the Gasoline with the highest average price is sold at pumps in the North East to R$7.63 and rose 0.66%.
The lowest average, on the other hand, was with the South regionwhere it reached an average price of R$ 7.21.
The highest average per state is Piauí which reached R$ 8.17 and the lowest, from Rio Grande do Sul: R$7.02.
In which state has gasoline increased the most?
THE Bahia is the state with the biggest increase in gasoline in these first days of May. Fuel was 5.16% more expensive and reached the value of R$ 7.74.
Where did gasoline go down in price?
Only five states recorded low fuel prices.
At the large northern river gasoline had a reduction of 1.28%, followed by Pernambuco which had a drop of 0.51% and maranhão, where the price dropped 0.21%. In the northern part of the country, Tocantins dropped 0.12%.
Has the price of ethanol dropped?
THE ethanol there was no decline in the average price in any region of the country.
The most expensive liter passed from the Northeast region to the South, and costs R$ 6.35. The cheapest liter was found in the Midwest at BRL 5.75.
Last month, the state where the price of ethanol rose the most was São Paulo. However, the index recorded that the Ceará had the biggest price jump: in the state, fuel went from R$ 6.13 to R$ 6.71. And the most expensive liter was sold in For (R$ 6.76) and the cheapest, in Sao Paulo (BRL 5.20).
In the first days of the month, ethanol presented itself as the most favorable option for only two cities in the country: Goiás and Mato Grosso. Unlike last month, where it was recommended in five states.
