According to Kayak, a travel and airline ticket search platform, São Paulo led the search for flights to Brazil. This research only takes into account purchases made in the first half of the year – and that have been booked, round trip, for the second half of 2022.

But, even though the capital of São Paulo is ahead in the interests of those who come from outside, followed by Rio de Janeiro, it was the northeast that stood out: the region ranked five cities among the most desired who comes to the country, with Fortaleza, Natal, Salvador, Recife and João Pessoa among the top ten. And the list also includes Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis and Goiânia to complete the ranking.

“It is true that the northeast is always in the spotlight when we analyze the cities most sought after by Brazilians. But with this new data that we got, we can see that the region is also well positioned abroad”, says Gustavo Vedovato, country manager from KAYAK.
