The Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 31 to November 13, in the city of Rio de Janeiro
The Electronic Sports League (ESL) announced this Tuesday, the 24th, that the next Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) will be held in Brazil. THE Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 31 to November 13, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The competition will bring together 24 international teams in its first edition in South America. The winner takes the world title of the modality and the prize of US$ 1 million, about R$ 4.82 million in direct conversion.
The first two stages, the Challengers Stage and the Legends Stage, will always be held in the presence of the public. The playoffs of the competition, called the Champions Stage, will be attended by the public at the Jeunesse Arena, in the Olympic Park, from November 10 to 13.
The competition will initially take place in 2020, however, it was canceled due to the pandemic. Anyone who had already purchased the ticket for the canceled championship and decided to keep it instead of requesting a refund will be able to use it in the 2022 tournament.
