Compra Rio generates greater than R$ 218 million in enterprise potential for SMEs; know the way it works

Having good business relationships is the key to success for any business, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The business rounds of Buy Rioa state government program, promotes the approximation of small and medium-sized suppliers of products and services from Rio de Janeiro with large buyers.

In the last ten months, the rounds generated more than BRL 218 million in business potentialin 46 cities in Rio de Janeiro, with the participation of 63 buying anchor companies and 273 supplying companies, according to the Secretariat for Economic Development, Energy and International Relations.

Last year, 725 business meetings were held, with more than 1,700 participants. Among the large institutions open to negotiating with small and medium-sized companies are large business groups such as:

How does Compra Rio work?

The Compra Rio business roundtables are held in suitable places for several simultaneous meetings, which are pre-scheduled and allow suppliers to present their products and services directly to the purchasing companies.

After the round ends, an email containing the contacts and portfolio of the registered suppliers is sent to the anchor companies. To participate in business roundtables, or even exhibit at stands promoted in partnership with the SEBRAEthere is no need for any investment on the part of the companies – the Compra Rio activities are completely free.
