Brazil creates 197,000 formal jobs in April

Caged data was released this Monday

Brazil created 196,966 signed job vacancies in April 2022. The numbers are from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (caged), which gathers the total number of admissions and dismissals on a monthly basis, and were disclosed by the Ministry of Labour in this Monday.

The result follows the positive number of the first quarter, which registered a balance of 615,173 jobs, despite the indication of a slowdown in relation to the performance of 2021. In that year, the balance of the first quarter was 805.1 thousand.

Throughout 2021, every month recorded a positive balance in the generation of formal jobs, with the exception of December, the month in which there are traditionally more dismissals. In 2022, every month had a positive result.
