Braskem: US supervisor proposes to purchase a stake within the firm, says newspaper

The American manager Apollo made a new offer for the Braskem (BRKM5), said the column by Lauro Jardim, from the newspaper O Globo. The company did not confirm the information.

According to the publication, Apollo wants to pay R$50 per Braskem share. In April, the manager had offered BRL 44.57 per share

Broker Ativa Investimentos said it considers the proposal positive, considering the share price at the moment – ​​today at R$27.89.

“Because it has the tag along mechanism, the current proposal of R$ 50 per share is extendable to Petrobras”, highlighted the brokerage in a comment to clients.

According to O Globo, the offer includes Braskem’s delisting on B3 and subsequent reopening on the New York Stock Exchange.
