Bolsonaro signals that there will be no salary readjustment to servers in 2022
According to the president, other careers do not allow for restructuring
The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonarosignaled this Tuesday that there will be no salary readjustment to the civil service in 2022, as the categories demand. “I am sorry, by all indications, it will not be possible to give any readjustments to the server this year. But it is already in our legislation, which was sent to the Parliamentthat next year we will have readjustments and restructuring”, he said, in an interview with SBT News.
According to the president, other careers do not allow for restructuring only a few. “When you talk about structuring a career, others don’t admit it without their also being restructured, and they don’t have the resources to do so.”
The President of the Republic also declared that the Brazil aid will be maintained at R$ 400 until December, but the value may change next year. “There is a limit, even by the electoral law. The Auxílio Brasil stays at R$ 400 until December and next year it is possible to change this amount”, he said.
The government, however, considered raising the benefit later this year by issuing a public calamity decree, which has not yet been ruled out by the president.
After complaining, once again, about the constraints of the spending ceiling, Bolsonaro evaluated this Tuesday that changes in the fiscal anchor can be discussed after the elections. “Some things you can change the spending ceiling as there are already proposals by the team at Paulo Guedes. But we will leave it to discuss this after the elections change in the roof. Could you take something out of the mandatory spending? It could,” he said, in the interview with SBT News.
And he signaled: “We had excess revenue last year by 300 billion reais. We did nothing with this resource, it was to reduce our internal debt. One thing or two you could mess with.”
Bolsonaro highlighted, however, that any change needs to be made “responsibly”.
